If you are bored with traditional Halloween decorations, a little creativity may help you create a unique Halloween display. If you are looking for something different to do this year, read on for creative ideas.
Masks: Hang a creepy, funny, or creative mask on your door. Decorate a scarecrow or your garden with them. You could even hang them in the windows to look like someone creepy is peeking out. Masks are an easy way to add some festive Halloween spirit to any kind of space.
Vases: Glass vases may be an interesting way to decorate for Halloween. Consider filling them with different fall objects: colored leaves, black and orange marbles, Halloween candies, or even plastic bugs. Or you could easily wrap them in orange and black layered tissue and secure the paper with twine. You then may be able to reuse the vases by making a few changes in the contents for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays. Look for a variety of “fillers” at your local craft or dollar store.
Accents: If you don’t want to go all out with your Halloween decorations, a few tasteful accents may help set the mood without turning your home into a haunted house. For instance, you could use Halloween themed throw pillows or move your smaller potted plants into plastic Halloween trick-or-treating containers. Fall or Halloween knick-knacks and window clings also make for great subtle seasonal decor.
